Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SnapAPI’s website, APIs, and related services (“Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Description of the Services

SnapAPI provides programmatic extraction of web page content into text and Markdown for your applications. We process URLs you submit and return derived content to you. We do not use your extracted content for advertising, resale, or persistent analytics as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must have authority to enter these Terms. You are responsible for safeguarding API keys, passwords, and other credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account except where caused by our gross negligence.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services to violate any law or third-party rights.
• Attempt to access, scrape, or interfere with systems or networks without authorization.
• Overload or disrupt the Services (including circumventing rate limits or quotas).
• Use the Services to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes intellectual property.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code except where permitted by law.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

5. Your content and URLs

You retain rights to content you submit (e.g. target URLs). You grant us a limited license to process submissions solely to provide the Services. You represent that you have the right to request rendering of the URLs you supply.

6. Fees and plans

Paid features, quotas, and pricing are as presented on our site or in a separate order form. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable notice where required by law.

7. SLA (Business plan)

For customers on the Business plan, we target 99.9% monthly uptime for the core API, excluding scheduled maintenance, force majeure, third-party outages (including Cloudflare or hosting providers), or issues caused by your misuse. Credits or remedies, if any, are defined in your Business agreement or order form. This section does not apply to Free or Pro plans unless expressly agreed in writing.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that outputs will be error-free, that third-party sites will render identically, or that the Services will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER SNAPAPI NOR ITS SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THAT PERIOD OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100), EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify SnapAPI and its affiliates against claims, damages, and costs arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, or legal requirements. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitations, indemnity) will survive termination.

12. Changes

We may modify these Terms. We will post updates on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws designated in your enterprise agreement, or otherwise by the laws of the jurisdiction SnapAPI specifies in writing, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue, subject to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.
